Information Sent Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. The operators do not keep a copy of those searches. A message sent to the contact address is used only to read and answer what the sender includes.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. These logs are reviewed in aggregate for service health and broad page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when those tools are enabled.
How the Data Is Used
Technical data supports operation, fault repair, traffic counts, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and the operators do not build an individual profile from ordinary visits.
Links Beyond the Directory
Pages point to county and state portals, LAPL collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once a link is followed, the destination’s privacy policy controls what is submitted there. The third-party provider behind a sponsored result also sets its own data practices.
Who Receives Limited Data
Hosting and support vendors may process technical logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure is limited to a valid legal process or the service operation described here.
Security and Retention
Connections are encrypted, and logs are retained only while the purposes above call for them. Because there are no accounts, this service does not create a password file or user profile that could be exposed here.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected; contact the operators if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to its limits. The California Attorney General’s CCPA guidance explains those rights. The DELETE Act, Civil Code §1798.99.80 et seq., also supports a single deletion request through the state’s DROP platform for registered data brokers. Safe at Home eligibility and disclosure limits are described by the California DOJ and the Secretary of State program. Since little data is kept here, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page. Government records held by California, Los Angeles County, or the City of Los Angeles are outside this service’s control; ask the responsible custodian about those records.
